Fantastic place that I'm genuinely impressed by. Like many, I've worked downtown for years and had never been here. Try it, you won't regret it. The food is fresh and delicious, the coffee is wonderful, and it's easy to bounce in and out in 5-10 minutes.

First, you will not be disappointed with anything as this spot is geared to the hustle and bustle (and rare moment to relax) for commuters and residents alike in Downtown Hartford! Second, on a recent visit for a business lunch I was surprised at how few people were in the restaurant. Everything else - service, smiles, great food and selection, and WiFi were still in place. I ventured a conversation with Kevin (Owner, Chef, Mr. Many Hats) and learned that the post-COVID crowd had given way to remote work. Good for them, I guess, but an obvious void for downtown Hartford. Kevin shared with me his April 19, 2020 Take Five Cookery Blog - "My Covid Response". In it, and his eyes during our brief convo, I found the love and adoration of customers, staff, life itself,...through the eyes of a small business owner. I believe the article was published in the Boston Globe, but just ask him for it; he'll be happy to share. You will be "WOKE"! I could go on, but will end by saying, take a day or two to come into your downtown offices and remember to Take Five!

Friendly owners. Great quality food for the price. Homemade soups are amazing. Staff is friendly and they move quickly even during lunch rush. If you work downtown Hartford, I recommend trying it out.

I love this place for breakfast and have been coming here for a few years. They have an in-house chipotle sauce that is fantastic and can be purchased separately. The appearance is more of a cafeteria style look, but they have great staff and great food. 03/17/2022 UPDATE:. They are still here and open and serving great food!

Today I ordered the California Turkey Club. The sandwich was huge and had a generous serving of turkey, bacon and cheese as well as avocado salsa. The chef was attentive and willing to modify if I wanted. Everyone was very helpful. Kudos the Team.

I stumbled upon this gem today completely by accident after trying to find it for months. :-) I highly recommend this eatery....the tuna poke bowls that i ordered were absolutely stunning to look at and a marvel on my tastebuds. :-) It is fair to say that it was the best poke bowls i have ever eaten. :-) Kevin and his crew are over the top friendly and I definitely can't wait to go back to enjoy some more amazing food. :-) Keep up the good work guys. :-) See you sooner than later. :-)

I recently had to put on a large corporate breakfast. I could not have picked a better place to cater this event. This was the best choice!! The muffins, bagel, fruit salad, etc were amazing! The entire presentation was great and left little for me to set up. The staff there was awesome and couldn't have been more helpful to make sure that this lunch ran smoothly. Any last minute things I needed were readily available. I will 100% be using Take Five for another catering event! Lisa - Thanks to you and your team for such a wonderful experience!

Keisha was awesome and incredibly helpful. The staff are very friendly and service oriented, and the food was great! Also! I love spicy things and my girlfriend hates them, but we both loved the chipotle sauce they have there. It’s sweet with a little heat and definitely worth trying.

A great spot for a quick bite to eat. Love the food and staff are so kind. The chipotle-ranch is their best kept secret and absolutely delicious
